He was predeceased by: his parents, Smith and Bertha; his son Mark Anthony Carson; and his sisters, Lorraine Connor, Bobbie Robinson and Thelma Gomes.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, James Darryl Carson and Shannon Carson Wesley; his grandchildren, Rechena Parker, James Romell Carson and Ayanna Marie Rankin; his great grandchildren, Jared, Nicole, Candice and Machai; and his siblings, Shirley Taylor and Roy Carson.
