It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mettie Thayer (Painesville, Ohio), born in Gilmer, West Virginia, who passed away on March 30, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harris and Ratie Harris (Wilson); and her husband James Thayer. She is survived by: her children, Gary Thayer (Lora Koons), Mettie O'Brien, Loretta Smith, Victoria Jones (Edward), Cindy Scoville (Rick) and Larry Thayer (Gail). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
