He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Calvelage and Verona Calvelage (Klausing); his wife Edith M. Remlinger; his siblings, Richard, Daniel Calvelage, Martha Feathers, Esther Zimmerman and Florence Weeden; and his half-brother Basil Young.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Kitson (Barry) of Westerville, Dale Calvelage (Marilyn) of Ottoville, Denny Calvelage (Karen) of Ottoville, Nancy Calvelage of Huber Heights, Alan Calvelage (Denise) of Ottoville and Teresa VanGrootheest (Terry) of Delphos. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren with one on-the-way; and one great-great-grandchild.
In keeping with the social distancing guidelines a visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. and on Saturday at 9:00 a. m. until the time of service at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
