He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Walters and Minnie Walters; his children, Howard Walters III (Patty Gargalianos), Debbie Tyo (Tim), Matthew Walters (Karen) and Melissa Mellott (Curt); his grandchildren, Howard IV (Tess), Dean, Jacob, Ashley, Taylor, Tessa, Taran, Tori, Margaret, Nash, Charlotte, Carson, Mattingly and Maizie; his stepsons, David Karrick (Angela), Stephen Karrick (Kerri) and Peter Karrick (Michelle); his wife Karen A. Walters (Fink); and his former wife Mary Kay Karrick-Walters (Huffman). He was also cherished by 10 step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Oregon Schools Foundation in honor of Howard to be directed toward the Clay High School Eagles Marching Band.
