It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cruz Vigil Hooten of Oregon, Ohio, born in Seguin, Texas, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Serapio Vigil and Theresa Vigil (Perez); and her children, Rebecca and Reynaldo Gonzales. She is survived by: her husband William B. Hooten; and her children, Raul Gonzales, Jr. (Esther), Rosamaria Gonzales (Juan Antonio Zermeno) and Rita Castillo (Juan). She is also survived by two brothers and one sister; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
