He was predeceased by: his parents, Wasyl Melnyk and Maria Melnyk (Ciolka); his wife Carol; his niece Stephanie; and his aunt Ann.
He is survived by: his daughter Veronica; and his siblings, Bill Melnyk (Jackie), Michael Melnyk (Shelley) and Mary Ann Riddle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
