He was predeceased by: his parents, Myles B. Payne and Florence Gregory; his stepfather Carl J. Gregory; his children, Michael Allen, Mark Andrew Payne and Melissa Ann Payne; and his brothers, Myles Allen Payne and Michael William Payne.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine; and his grandchildren, Ethan Michael, Jameson Allen and Kaylynn Payne.
