He was predeceased by: his mother Edna Fielder; his son David Fielder; and his siblings, Warren Fielder, Donald Fielder, Gledith Boyes, John Fielder, Harrall Fielder and Robert Fielder.
He is survived by: his father John Fielder; his wife Ruth Fielder; his children, Linda Preiser (Douglas), Sherrin Fielder and William Fielder; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Hannah, Chloe, Gavin, Lola and Kate.
Dr. Fielder had a distinguished career as a chemist at NASA with 40 published papers in the field of electrochemistry with contributions to the space shuttle battery cell.
