He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Wirtz; and his sister Rosemary Calvert. He is survived by: his wife Christine; his children, John "Vic" Wirtz (Amy), Gregory Wirtz, Kate Forgach (Matthew), Julia Boris and Heather Boris; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Melissa, Aaron, Laura, Brody, Mason, Winnie and Alex.
