She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Gerl-Bostjancic and Pauline Gerl-Bostjancic; and her brother Leo. She is survived by: her husband Gary Pierce; her sons, Mark Pierce of Upper Arlington and Jeffrey Pierce of Camden; her grandchildren, Kristy Lantz (Brad), Madeline Pierce, Paul Pierce and Kara Short (Shawn); and her great grandchildren, Kariana, Grayson, Olivia, McKenzie, Atalaya, Isla and Donna Sembaluk.

Donations may be directed to the Cuyahoga County Public Libraries.
