He was predeceased by: his brother Scott Schmidt; and his nephew Ryan T. Hofus. He is survived by: his parents, Daniel F. Schmidt Sr. and Phyllis Schmidt; his close friend Donna Bigelow; his siblings, Brian Schmidt and Marion Mayle (Roger); his children, Rebecca Stack (Scott) and Daniel Schmidt III (Laurie); and his grandchildren, Lilliana Schmidt and Bentley Schmidt. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
