He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael F. Benedict and Catherine A. Benedict (O'Dea); his brother Michael Benedict; and his brother-in-law Malcolm John Tabor. He is survived by: his wife Susan Irene Benedict (McCombs); his children, Bridget Holko (Stephen) of Cleveland, Paul Michael Benedict of Scottsdale, Daniel Steven Benedict (Kelly) of Mesa and Meghan C. Rihel (Kenneth) of Niles; his grandchildren, Marley Benedict, Stephen Holko (Jennifer), Ethan Holko, Reiley Benedict, Hayden Rihel, Owen Benedict and Aislin Benedict; his sisters, Mary Catherine Tabor of Niles, Anne Cole (Jerald) of Howland, Rose Quinn of Niles and Noreen Benedict of Westerville; and his sister-in-law Jeannie Benedict of Florida.
