He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Davies and Clarice E. Davies (Volkert); his son Charles P. Davies; and his siblings, Cora Jo Williamson and Daniel A. Davies.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Davies (Poland); his children, John H. Davies Jr. (Shelby) of Troy, Michael Davies (Tina), Sonya Lee Kelso (Kyle) of St. Petersburg and Theresa Davis (Rashard) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and his siblings, William K. "Bill" Clark and Robin Lee Clark. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
