He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Swary and Emma Swary (Moehrman); and his siblings, Norman, Darwood, Gene, Roger Swary, Madonna Swary, Theresa Swary, Jane Miller, Berneta Chrisman and Dortha Swary.

He is survived by: his wife Vickie Swary (Bibler); and his children, Melanie Pace of Scottsboro and Brad Swary of California.
