He was predeceased by: his sibling Alida Gessler. He is survived by: his spouse Gerda Laverdiere; his child Scott Laverdiere (Hedy); his grandchildren, Kayla Laverdiere, Jakob Laverdiere and Olivia Laverdiere; and his siblings, Allan Laverdiere (San Gye) and Norma Hajde.
