She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse B. Piatt, Sr. and Altha Piatt (Brown); her husband John Garwood; her siblings, Marie Nisius, Jeanette Gilbert, Claude Piatt, Sabina McCain and Jesse Piatt, Jr.; her niece Junie; and her nephew Jesse Bernie.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Bob Nisius (Joyce), Sonja Price (Keith), Ron Nisius, Carolyn Davis (Dick), Robert Gilbert (Barbara), Claudia Smith and Skip Piatt (Fran); and her great-niece Teresa Van Meter (Ron).
