He was predeceased by: his parents, Sollie Mills and Mealie Mills (Mattingly); his wife Rosa Mills (Broughton); his sons, Ellis and Dennis Mills; and his siblings, Tipp, Lee, Clarence Mills, Rosie Gregory and Sarah Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Herless D. Mills (Earlene) of Louisville, KY and Janet Purk (Michael) of Dayton, OH; his daughter-in-law Cathy of New Lebanon, OH; his grandsons, Stephen Mills (Tina) of Mason, OH, Andrew Purk of Lewisburg, OH, Thomas Purk (Emily) of Palos Hills, IL, Nathaniel Mills of Louisville, KY, Jason Mills (Darla) of Louisville, KY and Joshua Mills of New Lebanon, OH; his stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey Hataway, Kellie Bjurman and Thomas Hataway; and his great grandchildren, Catherine, Elizabeth Purk of Palos Hills, IL, Teeghan and Sawyer Mills of Louisville, KY.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends.
