It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Wallace Smith Sr. of New Carlisle, Ohio, born in Batavia, Ohio, who passed away on January 18, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearly Gordon Smith and Electa Belle Gibson Smith. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie L. Goodner Smith of Dayton, Frank Smith of New Carlisle, Edward Lee Smith of New Carlisle, William James Smith of Martinsville and Kathleen Ann Polen (David) of Fairborn, Ohio; and his siblings, Russell Smith, James Smith, Dan Smith, Herbert Smith, Becky Smith and Richard Gordon Smith. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
