It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Woods Jr. of New Carlisle, Ohio, born in Lackey, Kentucky, who passed away on September 27, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Woods and Ocie Woods; his sister Erma Jean Lambert (Fred); his nephew Tommy Lambert; his brother Faircie Woods (Elizabeth); and his aunt Bonnie Terry (Fred).
He is survived by: his daughter Candy Lay; his stepchildren, Gloria and James Workman; his grandchildren, Hayley Lay, Tonya Cabay (Jake), Katrina Rose, Norman Blount and Billy Brown; his great grandchildren, Taylor and Myka Marlowe; and his niece Sharon Murphy (Eurshel). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
