He was predeceased by: his wife Marianna Van Oss; his parents, Alfred Oss and Lucille Van Oss; and his siblings, Russell Van Oss, Eugene Van Oss, Jerry Van Oss and Mary Brewer.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Bryan (Jay), Agatha Coffman (Steve), Gary Van Oss (Linda) and Greg Van Oss (Denise); and his brother Richard Van Oss (Johanna). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
