He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl F. and Magdalena Wentzel (Quindel); and his son James. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Schwanz; his children, Steven (Vicki) of Napoleon, OH, Kathryn of Kensington, MD and Karen of Palo Alto, CA; his sisters, Donna Bresemann (Don) of Coeur D'Alene, ID and Doris Burns of Troy, MO; and his siblings-in-law, Irene Wentzel of Collinsville, IL and George Schwanz (Mary Jo) of Blaine, MN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to be designated to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
