He was predeceased by: his brothers, Harlan and Maurice (Diane). He is survived by: his wife Janet Gillen; his children, Sherri Short (Brent), Napoleon, Tim Meyer (Nichole), Ft Wayne, Andrea Meyer and Columbus; his granddaughter Madelyn; his nieces, Kelly Roessler (Fred), Karen Rettig (Glen) and Anne Dechiro; and his sister-in-law Dora Feffer (Meyer).

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions can be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Honor Flight.
