It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John M. Harwell Sr. of Mount Vernon, Ohio, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harwell and Dorothy Harwell (Grubb); and his brother Buddy Harwell. He is survived by: his children, John Harwell Jr. (Laura) of Lenoir, Lori Hite (Mark) of Stafford, Virginia, Lisa Richert of Mount Vernon and Leslie Dechant (JT) of Bellville; his granddaughters, Bobbi Jo Milligan (Jason Rine) and Amy Jo Harding; and his siblings, Larry Harwell (Dottie) of Chillicothe, Cinda Boucher (Johnny) of Howard and Vicki Maxwell (Dick) of Fredericktown. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to your local girl's softball association.
