He is survived by: his wife Violet Leta Lear (Somerville); his son Michael R. Lear (Tracy); his granddaughters, Hannah Lear and Amber Kirkwood (family: Anthony Lear); his sister Nancy Costanzo; and his sisters-in-law, Jeanie McAndrew and Lois Marley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
