He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Criner and Rhoda P. Davis Criner; his wife Clara Mae Short Criner; and his siblings, Elden, Harold, Johnie, Roger, Donald, Levi, Edward, Hilda, Dollie and Gladys.
He is survived by: his children, Roger L. Criner (Geri) of Madison, NC, Carrie V. Criner of Virginia Beach, VA, James T. Criner of Medway, OH and Maria P. Tiggs of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
