With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Y. Dorsey of Massillon, Ohio, born in Dennison, Ohio, who passed away on September 27, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Phyllis departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Phyllis may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Phyllis leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Hughes and Norene Hughes (Walker); her son Jeff Lowery; and her sister Doris Jean Pep. She is survived by: her husband Fred "Bruce" Dorsey; and her children, Natalie Lowery, Bruce Lowery, Frank Lowery and Chris Lowery (Jada). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
