He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sr. Ellis and Jeanette Ellis. He is survived by: his daughter Savannah Morris (Lucas); and his sisters, Tippie Guess and Angel Cash. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Focus on Youth, Inc. or Stray Animal Adoption Program.
