She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Shelt and Bernadine Koby Shelt; her siblings, Patrick "Pat" Shelt and Judy Shelt Beard; her siblings-in-law, Stephen and Lois Emmons; and her nephew Eric Emmons.

She is survived by: her husband Peter W. Emmons; her children, Allison Emmons of Marysville and Troy; her daughter-in-law Sonia Emmons; her grandson Miles Emmons of Vancouver, Washington; her siblings, Larry Shelt (Jane) of Catawba Island, Fred Shelt (Barb) of Tiffin, Barb Lutz (Mike) of Raleigh and Maureen Foster (Wayne) of Ocala, Florida; and her siblings-in-law, Susan Shelt of Tiffin, David Emmons of Plain City and Vern Beard of Tiffin.
