It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Walter Mierta of Marysville, Ohio, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sisters-in-law, Susan and Emma Mierta. He is survived by: his wife Amelia "Amy" Steiger; his children, Elizabeth Lee (Pastor Andrew) of Pewaukee, WI, Timothy Mierta (Samantha) of Marysville, David Mierta of Marysville, Sarah Pate (Stephen) of Simpsonville, SC and Rebekah Denner (Matthew) of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Ethan, Olivia Lee, Anna, Timothy, Samuel, Greyson Mierta, Caroline, Evelyn, Elliot, Pate, Matthew, Michael and Madelyn Denner; his brothers, Matthew Michael Mierta Jr. of Kenosha, WI and Thomas Leonard Mierta of Davison, MI; and his former wife Amy Mierta Weaver. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Baptist Church and they may be sent to the funeral home.
