He was predeceased by: his mother Carol Sue Braden Schell; and his sister Lora Kay Schell. He is survived by: his father Fredrick Robert "Fred" Schell of Caldwell; his son Galen Schell of Athens; and his siblings, Joseph Robert Schell of Dexter City, Paul Marvin Schell (Christine) of Lake Placid and Cindy Mae Robertson of Huron.
