We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2023, at the age of 83, Larry Arlen Bates of Marietta, Ohio, born in Caldwell, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenden Smith and Noreen Fogle Bates; and his siblings, Dixie Lee Bates and Glen Leon Bates. He is survived by: his wife Diane Lee Ogle Bates; his daughters, Renee Elliott (Grant) of Marietta and Wendy Heppner (Ben) of Marietta; his grandchildren, Rachel Price (Adam), Billy Elliott (Blake), Nicole Jobe (Nick) and Blake Elliott (Raven); his great grandchildren, Nathan, Avery, Lucas, Nora, Lawson, Natalie, Nolla and Nash; and his siblings, Lloyd Bates (Barbara), Gary Bates (Linda), Terry Bates (Nancy), Cindy Johnson (Steve) and Luann Brown (Alan). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
