He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Johnston and Mildred Elston Johnston; and his grandson Joseph McEwen. He is survived by: his daughters, Janell McEwen (Ralph) of Mt. Dora and Jill Hart (Gary) of Lowell; his grandchildren, Cory, Collin, Ginger Hart and Jacob McEwen; his great grandchildren, Remy and Jordan; his brother Jim Johnston (Nancy) of Powell, Ohio; and his sister-in-law Carol McFarland of Marietta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
