She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. O'Hearn and Helen D. O'Hearn (Browning); and her brothers, James O'Hearn and Richard O'Hearn. She is survived by: her husband James Ernsberger, Sr.; her children, Kimberly Swank (Stephen), James Ernsberger, Jr. (Sue) and Michael Ernsberger (Jenny Thompson); her sister Patricia Rottman; her grandchildren, Tiffany Swank, Alecia Wyatt, Charles Swank (Erika), Ian Ernsberger (Karly) and Porsche Ernsberger; and her great grandchildren, Alexandria Collier, Arianna Collier, Maleia Wyatt, Callie Shoffstall, Ayla Swank, Bexley Swank and Ella Grace Ernsberger. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as an abundance of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation as Mary Ellen was a survivor of breast cancer herself, to the American Heart Association, or to St. Mary's Church.
