He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Savage; and his siblings, Ivy, Etta, Fred and Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Faye Savage (Williams) of Zanesville; his siblings-in-law, Marge Finley (Edward) of Columbus and Paul Williams (Micky); his niece Marsha Cairo; and his great-niece Paige Cairo. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
