He was predeceased by: his parents, Lesetta Fread, (Schwegler) and Claude L. Fread, Sr.; his aunt Erma Schwegler; his wife Bev; and his siblings, Claude Fread (Virginia) and Erma Jean Stickland (Elwood).
He is survived by: his son Rev. Bob; his daughter-in-law Sue Fread of Hudson, IA; and his granddaughters, Sara Fread of San Francisco, CA and Hannah Fread (Seth Zike) of Cedar Falls, IA..
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be shared with Cedar Valley Hospice, the Western Home Foundation, the Quilt Ladies of Ripley United Church of Christ and the International Council of Community Churches.
