He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gatts and Bessie Gatts (Myers); his wife Marjorie Gatts; his brothers, Leon, Paul, Wilbur and Donald Gatts; his son-in-law David Gaskell; his grandson Alexander Perdue; and his great grandchild Lily Gaskell.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Gaskell, Sondra Miller (Patty) and Ronald T. Gatts (Susan); his grandchildren, Terry Kasen (Jacob), Christopher Gaskell, Thomas Gatts, Mackenzie Gatts and Madison Gatts; and his great grandchildren, David, Joseph Gaskell and Julian Kasen.
