He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Solon; his sons, Dennis E. Solon (Brenda) of Shreve and Samuel Solon (Amy); his grandsons, Samuel J. Solon and Alexander E. Solon; and his brother John Solon (Bert) of Anderson, SC..
