He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Strine and Viola Strine (Snure); his wife Anna Marilee Strine; his daughter Jenny Anne Strine; his grandson Joel Thomas Beechy; his great grandchild Charles Gregory Knight; and his brother Robert Strine (Lucinda).
He is survived by: his children, JoAnn Beechy (Tom) of Wooster, John Strine (Sandi) of Mansfield, Jane Knight (Chuck) of Loudonville, Joy Sprang of Wooster and Jill Ryan of Peninsula; his grandchildren, Michelle Keen (Danny), Michael Beechy (Lynn), Melissa Beechy, John Strine Jr. (Teresa), Jenne Ward, Dan Knight (Sarah), Brandon Knight (Carol), Jessica Vandekoppel (Paul) and Allen Ryan; his great grandchildren, Chelsea, Rachel, Scarlet, Lucy and Hailey; and his sister Rita Geren (Larry).
