He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hoff and Vera Hoff (Shaffer); and his sister-in-law Elizabeth "Cookie" Hoff. He is survived by: his wife Gerry Hoff; his son Chris Hoff (Edria); his grandson Grant Hoff; his brother Stanley Hoff; his niece Tammy Drown (Dave); and his nephew Mike Hoff.
