She was predeceased by: her parents, Arch B. Herron and Eva V. Brown Herron; her husband Gerald "Cotton" Leo Byers; her son-in-law William E. Harrod; her siblings, Lee, Wayne, Randall Herron, Frances Herron and Shirley Allman; and her sister-in-law Ann Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, James L. "Jim" Byers (Corrine) of Stoutsville and Connie S. Harrod of Londonderry; her grandchildren, Natalie and Ashley; her great grandchildren, Kaley Thacker (Daniel) and Kaleb Haynes; and her brother William "Bill" Herron of McArthur. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Virginia Byers to the McArthur VFW Post #5299, 401 Veterans Memorial Drive, McArthur, Ohio 45651.
