He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Scott and Mabel Scott (Ratcliff); and his siblings, Howard Junior, Jerry, Mike (Carol), Ralph and Betty.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy (Weir); his children, Mark (Tammy), Jay, Steve and Julie Cowan (Matt); his pet Roxy; his grandchildren, Nathan Scott (Stefanie), Bud Scott (Chelsea), Anna Kate Brown (Tom), Ashley Scott, Alexa and Avery Cowan; his great grandchildren, Owen, Emma Brown, Hunter and Peyton Scott; his siblings, Curt Scott (Nola), Harold Scott (Nola Kay), Ann Mollohan (Robert) and Margie Atwood; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Scott and Curt Hines. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
