He was predeceased by: his brothers, Timothy Winnett and Douglas Winnett. He is survived by: his parents, James Louis and Mary Winnett (Stevens); his children, Matthew Jr. and Jessie Winnett; his grandchildren, Caleb M., Taylor Winnett, Shelby and Bryan Jr.; and his siblings, James Winnett (Clarissa) of Londonderry, Joan Bright (Kenneth) of Batesville, MS, Carmela Eveland (Joe) of South Bloomingville, Holly Clary (James) of Londonderry, Leslie Winnett (Tonya) of Londonderry and Shawn Winnett of Londonderry.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wellman Funeral Home in Matthew's name.
