She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil P. Powell and Lola Harmon Powell; her husband Ronald Rister; her children, Steven Powell and Carolyn Hallowell; her sons-in-law, Jeff Hallowell and David Roister; her grandchildren, Jeremy Powell and Beth Ann Roister; and her brothers, Ralph Powell, Leslie Powell and Bernard Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Powell (Kathy) of Londonderry, Cathy Roister of Londonderry, Vera Conley (Scott) of Florence, KY, Charlotte Hill (Ron) of Chillicothe and Janet Weeks (Eric) of Chillicothe; her sister-in-law Sue Powell of Chillicothe; and her pet Betty. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.
