She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Powell and Mildred Powell (Weisenberger); her husband Frank E. Sturgill; her sisters, Helen, Janice, Carol and Thelma; her son Rick Sturgill; her grandson Robby; and her great grandchild James.
She is survived by: her sons, Frank E. Sturgill of Londonderry, Tony Sturgill Sr. (Ruth) of Rockbridge and Greg Sturgill (Jennifer) of Ashville; her grandchildren, Brandy Brown, Rick Jr., Michael (Renee), Tony Jr. (Jennifer), Kelli Peters (Mike), Karri Smith (Thomas), Braiden and Greg (Haley); her brother Jerry Powell (Doralee); her niece Rachel Costilow; and her cousin Kevin Humphreys. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
