He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Detty and Minnie Ringer Walls Detty; and his siblings, Virginia, Franklin and Ronald.
He is survived by: his children, Gerry Struensee (Alan), Joseph J. Detty (Kimberly), Londonderry and Keith Hatfield (Sherry); his grandsons, Mark C. Virgin (Karen) and Matthew C. Virgin; and his siblings, Annabelle Fiasco of Waldorf, MD and Delano Detty. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
