He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Sue; his parents, Olive Holmes (Dodge) and Vincent "Red" Holmes; his son Jeffrey Holmes; his grandson Gage Holmes; and his mother-in-law Jean Dellinger.
He is survived by: his brother Don Holmes (Maedene); his sister-in-law Debbie Sullivan (Craig); his daughter-in-law Kimberly Holmes; and his children, Dr. Curt Holmes, Mike Holmes, Chris Holmes (Michell), Scott Holmes (Deanna), Beth Mazzocca (Carl), Brittany Schimpf (Chris), Tina Brinkman (Brent), Dr. Tim Holmes (Danielle) and Brandy Hollstein (Jay). He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the CHP Home Care & Hospice – Lima, 3739-A Shawnee Rd, Lima, Ohio, in honor of all the amazing nurses that held a special place in his heart and took such great care of him.
