We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2023, at the age of 86, Lawrence Swords of Lima, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lawrence Swords to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo M. Swords and Martha A. Swords (Griffiths); his wife Carol J. Swords (Ray); and his siblings, Rev. David Swords (Virginia), Charles Swords (Sharon), Betty Ann Loving (Henry), Lloyd Swords, Bruce Swords, Evelyn Anthony (Bill) and Gloria Scheidt (Wally).

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly R. Smoke of Middleburg, FL, Jeffrey McDaniel of Bixby, OK and Mark P. Swords (Christine) of Lima, OH; his stepchildren, Dionne Hardman (Michael) of Fuquay Varina, NC, John Ray (Amy) of Maumee, OH and Laura Snyder of Dayton, OH; and his sister-in-law Margaret Swords. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flag City Honor Flight.
