He was predeceased by: his parents, James Freed Grass Jr. and Kenyon D. Grass Pryer (Bowman); his stepfather Jack Pryer; his uncle Thomas Bowman; and his aunt Betty Jean Whitley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mark Grass and Amy Grass; his nephew Gunnar Grass; his niece Greta Grass; his aunt Sandra Bowman; and his cousins, Tommy Bowman (Perri), Robin Patterson, Bonnie Coover, Connie Perry, Carrie Sue Zatorski, Steve Hitchner and Terry Bowman.
