With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Gerald Hersey of Lima, Ohio, who passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hersey and Helen Hersey (Gerrity); his brother Andrew Hersey; his niece Kara Hersey; and his nephew Kevin Hersey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brooke Traxler and Amanda Hersey; his grandson Zack Gottschalk; and his wife Ann Entinghe Hersey.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for placement in Zack's 529 Education Fund which was started by Dave for Zack's benefit.
