He was predeceased by: his parents, Issac Lawson and Pearl Lawson (Hawkins); his wife Victoria Furr; his son Steven Lawson; his grandson Tyree'Ty'Lawson; and his siblings, Homer, Harold, Jack, Roy, Charles Jr., Emma Martin and Estelle Morris.
He is survived by: his daughter Glenna Jenkins (Hurker); his grandchildren, Kayla Upshaw (Tasha), Kory Robinson-Upshaw, Shawntae Jenkins (Edgar Cruz), Shelby Malloy (Erica), Torey Lawson and Trey Lawson; and his great grandchildren, Xavyer Cruz, Taya Upshaw and Navy Lawson.
